In the current era, entrepreneurship has significant contribution not only in term of financial advancement of any individual or group of individual but also has direct impact on social and cultural development of any society .The University understands these impacts and therefore aims to spread the spirit of Entrepreneurship through the Business Incubation centre .following are the broad objectives.
- To create awareness on entrepreneurship among the students and to inculcate entrepreneurial spirit and culture among the Engineering graduates and post graduates.
- To conduct programs in Entrepreneurship enabling skills.
- To identify and motivate budding entrepreneurs.
- To create a database on industrial information to facilitate entrepreneurs by providing information on entrepreneurial opportunities.
- To assist entrepreneurs in sourcing finance, identifying market, preparation of business plan and product development.
- To guide the prospective entrepreneurs in knowledge based ventures and to help entrepreneurs to acquire necessary skills to run the industry effectively.
- To bridge the gap between Industries and Institutions by carrying out the research activities for the industries.
- To conduct skill industrial development training programs with updated technologies.
- To provide need-based consultancy services to industries.
- To encourage and assist in setting up enterprises by individuals focusing on first generation entrepreneurs through appropriate training, which includes inputs, like Behavioral Motivation, Managerial Competencies and selective technical skill.
- To formulate & conduct Enterprise Management Training for owners/ managers of small & medium enterprises.
- To help and assist unemployed youth educated and uneducated –urban and rural in acquiring skills for both wage & self employment.
- To encourage and promote research & special studies on various aspects of entrepreneurship and small & medium enterprises; market surveys, potentiality surveys, technical feasibility and economic viability studies
- Formulate proposal for new units and rehabilitation of sick units
- To organize vocational training for skill up-gradation including establishment of vocational training centers.
- To spread entrepreneurial education at the school and college level
- To develop resource maps of Orissa for the aspiring entrepreneurs.
